Plant-Wide SCADA for a Wastewater Treatment Plant

A wastewater treatment plant has many process units, including equalization, aeration, sedimentation, chemical dosing, discharge and sludge dewatering, and each one has its own pumps, blowers and sensors. The customer wanted screens that match the actual piping layout, so operators know which stage they are looking at, together with complete operating records.

We used the P&ID as the base and built one screen per unit, placing the status of pumps, blowers, dosing units and valves, plus live level, flow, pH and conductivity readings, exactly where they sit in the process. Every equipment action and alarm is written to the historical database, and reports are pulled straight from the system. More than ten screens were built, and the biogas section runs on the same system.
