How We Build Control Panels

Our control panel practices: power and signal wiring separated into zones, clearance around drives for cooling, every wire in a duct with a marker, and a full power-up check before leaving the shop.

How We Build Control Panels

CHALLENGE

Challenge

The control panel is the heart of a machine. A poor layout leads to the same old problems: bad heat dissipation, awkward maintenance and electrical noise.

SOLUTION

Solution

Our approach is to zone the panel by heat output and signal type, keep power and signal wiring apart, leave cooling clearance around the drives, line up the PLC, relays and terminal blocks neatly, run every wire through ducts with a wire marker, and check all power and I/O before the panel leaves the shop.

EQUIPMENT

Equipment and Technology

  • PLC and I/O modules
  • Delta variable frequency drives
  • Relays and terminal blocks
  • Power supplies

RESULTS

Results

  • Component layout with room for maintenance
  • Duct wiring with every wire labeled
  • Powered up and tested before shipping

On site, only the external wiring needs to be connected before power-up, so installation is quick, and anyone opening the panel door later can understand it at a glance.
